To become employers’ quick choice on job placement, youths have been enjoined to be on top of their game and imbibe self-management skills to be on top list. This was the focus at a special training on skills for employment on career connect, tagged, “Training for Employability Skills”, organised by Global Interns in partnership with telecommunication firm, Airtel Nigeria, as one of the facilitators. The two-day exercise was designed to provide graduates with the knowledge and soft skills to develop self and prepare for the workplace, especially as more employers continue to seek versatile skills from entry-level employee. During the programme, participants tapped from certified and experienced trainers on topics such as Proficiency in Digital Skills, Learn Self-Management Skills, Introduction to Analytical Skills, Communication and Reasoning Skills, Writing Resume and Q & As. The enthusiastic trainees also broke out after class into mini sessions with the experts for assessments and advice.
